Cookie Policy

ReadySetChore uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries to keep the app working. This page explains what they are and how to control them.
1. Strictly necessary
- Authentication: keeps you signed in between page loads. Stored by our auth provider in local storage and, on some routes, as a secure cookie.
- Session state: short-lived tokens used to authorize your requests to the backend.
These are required for the app to function and cannot be turned off.
2. Preferences
- Theme: remembers whether you chose Light, Dark, or System mode.
- Sidebar state: remembers whether the sidebar is expanded or collapsed.
- Music player: remembers volume and last-played track locally.
3. Analytics and marketing
ReadySetChore does not currently set third-party advertising cookies. Any analytics we add in the future will be described here before being enabled.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Clearing them will sign you out and reset your preferences. Most browsers also let you block cookies per site, though blocking our strictly-necessary items will prevent sign-in.
5. Changes
If we add or change cookies materially, we’ll update this page and refresh the “Last updated” date.
